Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Patrick Firket, is Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of S-Clinica. With over 20 years of experience in the clinical research industry, Patrick participates in all of the strategic decisions and management of the company.

In the early 80's, Patrick Firket noticed the industry’s need in technological support to randomisation process and the vitality of its centralized coordination. He was convinced that randomisation-when arranged centrally by means of high technologies-would serve clients in a highly productive way. It would provide adequate randomisation, real time monitoring of treatment allocation and efficient treatment logistics. Furthermore, it would give an opportunity to collect data directly from patients by monitoring call centres, etc. Reducing the duration of clinical trials through increased efficiency in recruitment process and treatment provision ensures future market opportunities for novel drugs can be speeded up and pursued.

To this day, S-CLINICA remains faithful to that vision and thrives on continuous improvement of IVRS technologies.

Muriel Comblain,

Scientific Director

In 1998, Muriel Comblain became head of the Biometry department, which is responsible for data management and statistical analyses. This enabled S-Clinica to widen its range of services for clinical trials offered to clients and strengthened methodological support to technologically-advanced IVRS services.

We believe that statistical input is essential for the success of the IVRS programs. Therefore, the biometry team, in addition to its own specific project tasks, works in close cooperation with the IVRS team. Ultimately, by reinforcing IVRS services with biometry, the company has strengthened its overall support to its sponsors as well as the in-depth results for the studies.
